The perfect gift for new parents or a great way to plan ahead for your own postpartum cocoon
Often, after birth, the focus shifts solely to the baby. Friends and family want to come over and
visit the baby, but we can’t forget about the new parents and that this intense period after
delivery requires just as much care for the birthing parent. There are many potential barriers,
like time or uncertainty of how or what to do, to help bridge this gap, is why Sango was
created. Let us do the thinking and leg work for you, whether you are a new parents or wanting
to support a new parent in your community.

Nutritionally designed foods after giving birth to help new parents heal. Be nurtured in the comfort of your own home

What are the benefits of post-partum food
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, requirements for post partum recovery
include adequate rest, keeping the body warm and bundled, and eating warm and nourishing
foods only (soups, stews, congee, tea’s etc). By limiting consumption of cold foods, like
smoothies and salads, the body more easily digests and absorbs each food and its mineral
and vitamin content. Our broths are formulated with this in mind, offering a whole lot goodness
in each sip, full of vegetables, herbs in both the vegan and chicken broth to boost energy, with
the added benefit of protein and collagen in the chicken stock to help heal connective tissue.
Our snacks are designed to be easy to grab and ready to eat at a moments notice, and with
the added benefit of increasing milk supply, with food and herb ingredients that are shown to
help with milk production and recovery.
Once you have given birth there is no expiry or timeline on the post partum experience and
recovery period. Each body is uniquely different and should be tended to and nourished as
such. Post partum doesn’t stop at 3 weeks or 6 weeks of even a few months, your body will
move at its own pace and tell you what it needs, whether its ready to move more or rest more.
